"My paintings are intuitive reactions to life experiences, to subject matter, and to paint itself. They may be based on the figure, on an event or object, or be non-objective. Whatever the vehicle, my work is spontaneous with the hope of capturing an emotion or mood."

Abby Rudisil is an abstract watercolorist. She is known for her thick application of watercolor paint. She is a contemporary artist who uses broad strokes of color to evoke a feeling within her audience. She is inspired by many things—humor, emotion, politics, places, the human figure—and so her paintings are intuitive reactions to life experiences to subject matter, and to paint itself.

Rudisill received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York in 1966. Later, in 1971, she received her Master of Arts in the teaching of Fine Arts from Assumption College, Worcester, Massachusetts.
