Mango Lunch, oil and collage
imagesGoethe said, "all things are metaphors." All things are expressions of that which is Indescribable. Crossing time and place, symbolism and mythologies attempt to bring us into harmony with that which is beyond the metaphor. Beauty lies in the variations of cultural expression. I travel in an attempt to bring myself into relationship with those cultures similar to my own as well as to those that are very different. My studies continue to reveal cross-cultural threads. My paintings celebrate the variety of metaphoric expression with respect to that which underlies and connects us all.
